  1. TIME AND MONEY is a simple monitoring and planning program for
  2. controlling home finances.

  4. The program will work with any IBM personal computer, including the
  5. junior, if it has 128K of memory, and at least one double-sided
  6. floppy disk.  It is compatible with DOS 1.1, 2.0, or 2.1.  It will
  7. work equally well in color or black and white.
  8.  
  9. The way to start TIME AND MONEY is to type TAMSTART or B:TAMSTART in
  10. response to the operating system's request for a program to execute.
  11. This will display the main menu of the TAM system.  Then just follow
  12. the menu directions.  One item on this menu is detailed instructions 
  13. for using the program.  From the menu, you can page through these
  14. instructions or have them printed out.  They are ten printed pages in
  15. length.  If you wish to experiment right away, select other things 
  16. from the main menu.  There are 24 sample transactions in the system
  17. that can be used immediately.  There is also a sample budget in the
  18. file called BUDDY.  There is a sample financial plan in the file   
  19. called PLAN.  Give these names when the system asks what budget or
  20. plan to use.
